- Determine whether an account can be accepted, modified or declined under the company underwriting guidelines.
- Analyze and review risks for possible deductible programs ranging from $1,000 to $100,000 (stand-alone or basket) as well as SIR programs ($250,000 and above).
- Full binding authority up to 500 power units for auto liability, general liability, bobtail and physical damage coverage.
- Wholesale broker the following lines of business: excess, umbrella, physical damage, motor truck cargo coverages and pollution policies to several Lloyd's of London Syndicates, as well other surplus lines and admitted insurance carriers.
- Resolving premium audit disputes, claims handling issues or other customer service issues for the insured.
- Participate in claim review meetings with broker and insured. - Oversee and approve policy change requests as needed. - Mentor younger underwriters.
- Developed and maintain marketing strategy by attending annual trade conferences as well travel countrywide to maintain, improve and develop relationships with a vast network of retail brokers. - Effectively multi-task and handle deadline constraints.
