• Organize, manage and successfully deliver net-working breakfasts, special breakfasts (ie. Emergency Services Breakfast), luncheon events, educational workshops, seminars, and special events such as the Mayor’s BBQ, Annual General Meeting and the Christmas Luncheon & Silent Auction.
• Assist with the planning and delivering of Member Receptions, All Candidates Meetings. Work together with an outside contractor to plan and deliver larger scale events, such as the Business Excellence Awards Gala, Chamber Golf Tournament.
• Assist with securing of sponsorships and the preparation of sponsorship contracts.
• Respond to inquiries regarding speaking opportunities within the Chamber. • Meet with prospect speakers/presenters for future events. For our prestigious Business Excellence Awards
• Work with the Executive Director/Chair to organize a committee for Business Excellence Awards Nominations. Participate in all committee meetings and liaison with committee members to bring in nominations.
• Assist with the completion of the nominations and interview nominees for further information as required. • Prepare the judging packages for the judging committee. • Tabulate the scoring in the judging rounds. • Contact the nominees to confirm their attendance at the Awards Gala.
