Developed a whole Wales national sports participation scheme directed at young people, the unemployed, the over 50's and the disabled, running over 650 sports sessions per week. Obtained £1 million pound government grant. Publication of discretionary rate review for sports clubs; secretary to the Welsh Sports Association, representing the governing bodies of sport in Wales.

Responsibilities included parks, gardens, cemeteries, libraries, arts,tourism; 500+staff and revenue budget in excess of (then) £9 million.

Assisting with reviews of leisure centres in Glasgow

Responsible for the management of leisure services and development of the local tourist forum.

Responsible for Play Area strategy, Playing Field strategy, Sandwell Valley Park, Section 106 funds, review of Haden Hill development (£2.3 million Heritage Lottery Fund)

Responsible for leisure, cemetaries, housing, community safety; Representative on Every Child Matters and Community Safety Panels

Interim manager – Head of Sport and Leisure; consultant responsible for preparing the Case for Leisure with objectives, action plans, performance indicators in relation to Best Value and CPA; review of staff structure.

Best Value review of Priory Centre; implemented recommendations; interim manager; responsible for feasibility study – swimming pool, review of cinema provision, leisure asset register, civic initiatives and events for leisure.

Managing one of the largest leisure centres in Wales during a process of change.

Interim Operations Manager (7 facilities), Review of R&M budget and systems, established performances management processes, developed training programmes.
