Waste Management Project, Montenegro environmentally sensitive tourist areas project (MESTAP), Supervision services for Design&Build contract for construction of sanitary landfill ‘’Mozura’’ in Bar, Montenegro, Financing source: World Bank. Main task: Revision of the draft Design documents prepared by the Contractor (preliminary design, main design, as-build design or any other relevant document) and supervision of construction works of the regional sanitary landfill, including landfill body, landfill gas treatment, waste water and leachate treatment plants, in line with EU regulative related to Environment & Waste Management, and, preparation of EIA Review for the landfill complex. Choice of implemented bottom and top sealing barriers.

Main tasks: Drafting final EIA for the new Regional landfill in Niksic. Preparation of Tender Dossier, Volume 3-5, according to PRAG and Yellow FIDIC book, Design and Construction of the Leachate treatment plant for Regional landfill in Podgorica and Design and closure of the dumpsite in Bar Municipality. Providing training on TDs preparation according to FIDIC for representatives of Governmental' PIU.

Consultancy on creation of two Supplemented EIAs on construction of sanitary regional landfills in Pirot and Uzice. Creation of report and map of all 29 solid waste regions in Serbia. Preparation of a Feasibility Study, Environmental Impact Assessment, Conceptual Design, and Staff training for the Construction of the Kolubara District Regional Landfill, funded by Spain Government and EC, Client: Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning. Main tasks: Providing Conceptual design and Technical analysis of the regional centre for waste management including technical, technological and operational data about new regional landfill, including leachate treatment plant, recycling facility, waste separation plant, composting plant, proposed transfer stations, transportation means, employees, etc. Providing training to representatives of PUCs and municipalities’ administration.

Strategic planning process in the area of environment infrastructure projects, Funded by World Bank-IFC: Feasibility Study of the regional landfill (landfill body construction, waste selection plant, LFG collection and treatment, technique of waste disposal, mechanization, waste water and leachate treatment plant, composting plant, recycling yards and transfer stations, for the region of the City of Subotica and 6 municipalities. Main tasks: Project coordinator, consultant and one of the authors. Applying EU Directives. Revision of Preliminary Design on the landfill, Preparation of Conceptual Design for transfer station, technical and investment analysis of all components of the project, proposal on phases in construction and operation of the regional WM complex, cost estimates and phasing of the proposed total investments, with proposal on finance sources, EIA of the existing and future WM system, master plan on seven dumpsites closure and rehabilitation, project procurement and implementation plan, etc.

Waste Management Project, funded by EU, Supervision on Works Contracts on Waste Management Infrastructure in the Northern part of Cyprus, Activities: Preparation of operation manuals on medical waste (infectious waste) separation at source, handling, packaging, storage, labeling, transportation and treatment and on applicable EU legislation; Supervision of medical waste handling/storage/treatment equipment supply and installation in medical facilities in Turkish Cypriot Community in order to meet EU standards on environmental protection; Preparation of operation manual on sterilization and sterilization unit testing and on medical technicians training. Performing provisional and final acceptance for the Medical Waste collection and transportation Vehicles, suitable for the collection of medical waste from hospitals in the northern part of Cyprus, and transportation to a Central Treatment Unit, and for Medical Waste Sterilization Unit with shredder.
