Working Knowledge is a Social Enterprise dedicated to opening the eyes of business to young talent available locally. Events are held for 30 to 500 students at a time which in FE are usually funded via the QCF and with Universities by Graduate employers. Each event is tailored to the interests of the student delegates, the requirements of the college and the expectations of local employers. All events involve ‘experts’ or local employers that are from industries appropriate to the student delegates to ensure that the programme is highly contextual. Over the past 6 years Working Knowledge has partnered with 100 HE and FE and engaged over 1,500 employers and 10,000 students in its events. In 2008 Working Knowledge was awarded a National Training Award for our innovative approach.
