Overall responsibility for the procurement of goods and services for Bord Bia. Primary responsibility is to support the business in managing its annual expenditure by working with each department to develop strategies and adherence to internal and external (Dept of Finance and EC Directives) governance models. Responsible for ensuring that all services delivered are to expected standards and offer excellent value for money.

FPP is the all-Ireland body representing suppliers and buyers operating in the public procurement market on the island of Ireland. This market is currently estimated to be worth in the region of €15 billion per annum and supports approximately 250,000 jobs in Ireland. There are over 1,000 organisations involved, ranging from schools to government departments. Purchases range in value from a few hundred euro to many millions, across a wide selection of areas including ambulances, advertising, traffic cones and toll bridges. FPP's mission is 'To enable buyers and suppliers participate effectively in the public procurement market on the island of Ireland by identifying, developing and promoting best practice'.

Responsibility for purchasing semiconductors, plastics, die cast metals, electronic components and Printed Circuit Boards.

Responsibilites included managing outsourced manufacturing at sites in Ireland, China, USA and Malaysia.

Responsibility for Core Network purchasing with an estimated annual spend of €100m. This included managing and performing QBR's with top level suppliers, driving inventory reduction initiatives and delivering real cost reductions. Member of ‘Product Development Council’

23 Voluntary Hospitals from Dublin, Cork and Limerick established an executive working group called the Hospital Procurement Services Group (HPSG). The HPSG provides a platform for Voluntary Hospitals to work together to lever their purchasing power to drive down costs while ensuring the quality, service and delivery needs of each hospital are met. In partnership with hospital personnel, the HPSG provides a comprehensive contract development and management service across all non-pay expenditure categories implementing contracts to comply with EU procurement directives, Department of Finance procurement guidelines and accountability legislation.
