The Small Business Enterprise Center, Inc. (SBEC) is a non-profit organization committed to accelerating the growth and development of minority & women owned companies. SBEC was created to address this issue by educating minority small business owners on the essential keys to creating a successful business. Our mission is to spark and support accelerated and sustainable growth for eligible minority and women-owned businesses by providing effective business consulting services. These consulting services include, among other things, business planning, contract procurement assistance, and support in accessing financial capital. SBEC’s goals are to expand minority and women-owned business revenues, profits and employment opportunities. The Founder/President, Ms. Mae Merriweather strong passion for helping the less fortunate has prompted her to start a new division of SBEC, Inc, which will involve community charity events. Through the newly formed committee, SBEC, Inc. will be able to help underfunded non-profit organizations, who specialize in serving homeless/abused children, battered women, disable/homeless veterans, and seniors, to raise much needed funds for operation.
