Cargill completed the acquisition of Royal Nedalco's alcohol business from its parent company Royal Cosun on 1st April 2011. Nedalco now becomes an integral part of Cargill's starches and sweeteners business in Europe.

Caldic Chemie Produktie B.V. is part of the multinational Caldic and located in Zevenbergen, The Netherlands. This production site houses a 30.000 tpa facility for the production of glycol based Brake Fluids and Coolant Concentrates, and a modern toll distillation plant. Here I was responsible for a (toll) distillation plant and the toll manufacturing plant, directly managing a staff of 30 trained and skilled operators and shift workers.

Caldic is a versatile, multinational enterprise with an annual turnover of nearly 500 million euros and a staff of over 800 people. It is in the top 5 league of European distributors, present in 8 countries with a total of 25 sales offices, distribution centers, warehouses and production sites. In my capacity as managing director, I was responsible for a modern production facility for formaldehyde, paraformaldehyde, hexamethylenetetramine and a 60,000 m3 methanol tank farm. My responsibilities included a staff of 50 people, safety, health and environment, production, logistics, laboratory and maintenance.

Shin-Etsu PVC BV is part of Shin-Etsu Chemical Co Ltd. With a production capacity of over 3 million tonnes, Shin-Etsu is the largest polyvinyl chloride (PVC) producer in the world. Shin-Etsu PVC BV produces and sells vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) and PVC. Shin-Etsu has world-class production facilities in Botlek and Pernis, near Rotterdam. In my capacity as production manager, I was responsible for the production department of the VCM-plant with a staff of 65.

Royal Nedalco, a subsidiary company of Royal Cosun, is the leading producer of ethanol (ethyl alcohol) of agricultural origin in Europe. In my capacity as plant manager, I am responsible of Nedalco's new ethyl alcohol plant in Manchester and represent my company in the UK.
