With a Masters in Biological Sciences and a Doctorate in Microbiology, I possess a work experience of over 20 years that encompasses laboratory work, research work, food inspection, teaching / training assignments, and administrative / management responsibilities. I served in the UAE for 14 years as a Microbiologist / Food Safety Specialist responsible for food / water testing, consumer complaint investigation, food inspection (HACCP / GMP), and training of staff / students / food handlers. Besides teaching microbiology and food safety / hygiene at Abu Dhabi Men’s College, I was involved in the preparation of the course outlines and syllabus.

Responsibilities : Verify the compliance of food processing systems based on HACCP and traditional methods to promote consumer protection. Conduct audits of facilities and food processing systems against regulatory standards, HACCP system and GMP (Pre-requisite programs). Inspect food (Packaging, Labelling, Nutritional Information).
