Shortly after graduation I joined ASML. My first assignment was on Yeldstar project. Working on the development of novel opto-electronic sensor I was in charge of specification of calibration parameters, simulations, numerical data analysis, modeling, design of the experiments, testing and verification of the models developed, support to the software implementation of the model...
Knowledge embedded in this project covered but was not limited to different disciplines like optics, scatterometry, image processing, statistics, matlab programing...
My next assignment was on Litho Performance Controller. It was very complex project with final goal to correct the ASML litho scanners for the offset and provide long term stable data flow for overlay, focus and dose. My personal benefit from this project is knowledge and experience gained in the area of process control, model predictive systems (MPS), Kalman filter, which were not originally part of my university education.
Time spent at ASML was a great experience. I realized the importance of market demands and/or customer needs in the process of new product development, which made me more curious about the linkage between business strategy and technology development .

"Power commercialization in BiH" My management project was really a great opportunity for me. It was a piece of consulting work designed to provide strategy framework for capital investment in a particular emerging market. Entering the world of energy business, I familiarized myself with the most important issues in our century like liberalization of energy markets, transformation of the utilities, analysis of the trading mechanisms, increase of the share from the renewables, decrease of the CO2 emission in the atmosphere.
It was very different experience than I had before and I enjoyed every moment spent on this project.
It has been awarded with distinction.

Education
2002
Delft University of Technology (High School)
Participation in research project in Optics group
My first research experience as a Delft's student was within Optics group, taking part in the European research project Super Laser Array Memories (SLAM). The objective of the project was to demonstrate the feasibility and to show potential implementation of a robust optical storage system which will read and/or write sub-wavelength structures without the use of near field scanning.
My task was experimentally to prove that radially polarized light used in optical recording can decrease the size of the spot and increase the density of optical recording accordingly.

MSc, Delft University of Technology (High School)
Applied Physics
My Msc study has been mostly oriented to solid state physics, nanophysics/nanoelectronics and optics. For my MSc research I chose a topic in molecular electronics. The goal of the project was to develop new technology for fabrication of Field Effect Transistor (FET) on the surface of single organic crystal. The idea behind the development of this new technology (deposition of the metal contact directly on the vulnerable crystal surface) was to study the charge transport through organic crystals as a function of the metal work function. From the very beginning it was not a method expected to work, it was more given to me as a trial; to start some other project if it would not give results within reasonable time. However I found lot of fun and challenge doing things that do not go easy and didn't want to give up. Indeed after a year of intensive work I got the first results, what is actually not unusual in nanoscale experimental research.

MBA, TiasNimbas Business School (High School)
Complementary to my technical education and experience, my MBA curriculum has provided me with solid foundation of financial analysis, corporate strategy, management of innovation and entrepreneurship. This positively contributes to my understanding of technology commercialization and transfer of scientific solutions into business practice.
