How you formulate a sentence, and so an article, idea and argument can mean the difference between getting the deal and losing it; catching attention and being overlooked. My portfolio is ever-increasing and includes copy ranging from short marketing blurbs for websites to full articles that have appeared on the internet and in print. These cover a range of topics and styles, both from supplied information and where I have needed to conduct independent research to fulfil my mandate.

I have written web copy to accompany the photographs requested for a tourist destinations website, and compile monthly newsletters for the photographic database. As of January 2012, I have assisted Africa Imagery with their photographic distribution and social media platforms, and thoroughly enjoy compiling blog articles for inclusion on their website.

I write news and copy for the website.

We provide social media packages for local businesses including Facebook, Twitter and Wordpress, as well as compiling articles for print publication in relevant newspapers and magazines.

I wrote for a pool of articles that could be drawn from by newspapers in the province. This involved being sent weekly briefs on the topics required. I did all research and compilation on articles on beauty, health, decor, motoring and food. This also involved putting together copy for newspaper supplements, conducting interviews and writing articles, as well as providing features articles.

I write press releases and certain internal communications for the marketing department at the school.

I assisted the supplement department at The Witness in compiling the monthly What's Up guide (a restaurant and lifestyle guide profiling local attractions), and conducted interviews and wrote celebratory advertorial features.

I write articles on schools to accompany virtual tours on the Private Property website. This requires consultation with the schools for content and fine-tuning for confirmation from the schools.
