I have worked in media for more than 20 years in one capacity or another. Most of my media years were spent in broadcast radio, both on-air and on the creative/ad side. I still write copy and do the occasional voiceover when called upon.

I have been a freelance writer my entire life, publishing my first piece at the age of 7 yrs. old – a poem about how my baby brother gave me chicken pox for my birthday! Writing is my passion. I love poetry (don’t all women? lol) however, most of my writing is politically bent. Politics have taken on a life of their own with me and I am forever hooked. The political world fascinates me and is a never ending pool of material that keeps me interested. I love the research part of the writing process and can sometimes get lost in it.

Currently, I am the Marketing Director for a clinic in Portland, OR. I love my job and those I work for. It has been a learning curve stepping outside of the media world, but on the other hand it is similar as I
