Worked with Food for the Hungry US during the recovery phase after the devastated Indian Ocean Tsunami in Indonesia. The project I worked with was an Income Recovery/Livelihood Project in the city of Meulaboh, Western of Aceh. During my employment with Food for the Hungry I engaged extensively with the community, I conducted assessment on their vulnerabilities, past small-business prior to the tsunami, and identified needs of capacity building to enhance their skills in managing and developing their small businesses.

Worked during the initiation phase a project called “Support to strengthen the capacity and role of Civil Society Organization (CSO) in Aceh and Nias”. Completed more than 120 hours of part-time internship with the Urban Project Initiative (UPI), a pilot project of World Vision Australia. My main task were to assist country program coordinator for Indonesia in conducting research through desk review on the urban project in Indonesia, analyze cases through SWOT approach, research about Indonesia, and in contact with World Vision Indonesia field office to obtain data for the research. I also compiled a report about Indonesia’s underlying urban problems based on findings from a workshop conducted by World Vision Indonesia.
