- Preparing vessels schedules, following up with our esteemed customers and clients and updating them of ships' itinerary. - Following up with stevedores for getting cargo loading and discharging daily figures.
- Keeping our clients posted of cargo loading and uploading status through preparing daily working reports for loaded / discharged cargoes.
- Drawing vessels' freight rates calculations as per world market rates.
- Nominating suitable vessels to clients and offering our open vessels in the shipping market.
- Drawing time sheets for vessels after the end of each voyage for demurrage and dispatch purposes.
- Assisting my commercial staff in talking with foreign customers and charters and replying to all their phone calls.
- Checking customers, traders and bankers requirements along with trying to facilitate any hardships occurs during our exchanged electronic correspondences.
- Having a good relationship with foreign traders mainly Chinese, Indonesian, and Turkish traders and having a good relationship with cargo brokers all over the world.
- Appointing agents at various ports overseas in addition to appointing bunkers and cargo conditions surveyors - Assuring that our outstanding/ pending payments of vessels` hire invoices are to be effected on the due time and follow up with charters till funds credited onto our bank account.
- Negotiating with agents so that we can take discount on their proforma disbursement account (i.e. agency fees and warehousing & stevedoring costs).
- Commercially, checking and interacting with ship brokers in order to get the best rate for fixing our vessels for voyage charter or for time charter trips or even for short periods.
- Tendering notice of readiness (i.e. vessel is ready for loading/ discharging subject parcels then following up with shippers for checking cargo readiness and availability.
